The work of my life.
I believe people are an organization’s fuel, and I've seen what happens when leaders unlock that.
Late in my career, I worked for a bully boss. Living it myself taught me what the statistics can't: how deeply it affects your wellbeing, limits your performance, and robs both you and the organization of your best self.
That experience became my purpose: help leaders become exceptional, so fewer people ever have to work for a bad one.
When leaders create environments where people bring their best selves to work, performance and innovation follow. I call that PeoplePower, and helping leaders create it is the work of my life.
three decades of unlocking teams
I don't write about leadership from theory.
As an Organizational Development practitioner, I've coached thousands of leaders, from aspiring managers to the C-suite, across banking, technology, financial services, healthcare, automotive, real estate, and consumer products.
As former President of Drew Pearson International, a global licensed consumer products enterprise, I've also led from the leader's seat.
What it all taught me: leadership transcends industry. Put people together in groups and the same dynamics appear. The leaders who master them thrive.

Compassion is key to exceptional leadership. Trust is essential for relationships to thrive. Effective communication is critical. And the environment a leader creates determines whether people deliver their best or merely get through the day.
I also believe most leadership books are too theoretical, too narrow, and too light on tools a leader can actually use. That's why PeoplePower Unlocked is built differently: concise, actionable, and covering the full range of leadership responsibilities.

I'm also the author of The Deal, a business-intrigue novel inspired by real professional experiences. Storytelling fuels everything I do, in fiction and in leadership.
An avid traveler with more than four million air miles, I draw inspiration from cultures and people around the world. When I'm not writing, speaking, or advising leaders, you'll find me on the water, exploring somewhere new, or with family and friends.
